The newspapers of Trieste Il
Piccolo and the Slovenian community Primorski dnevnik are
released together on newsstands today, with the same cover that
opens with the title "Together" and features the same
interventions by Italian President Sergio Mattarella and former
Slovenian President Borut Pahor. The initiative, which is
unprecedented for the two newspapers, was adopted today at the
University of Trieste in honour of the two protagonists of the
two countries' reconciliation. Mattarella's speech is titled "A
model of cooperation was born here," while Pahor's is "Those
hands united and the same emotion."
