Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said
Wednesday that the European Union must speed up its
decision-making processes to be able to address the problems
raised by a rapidly changing international situation. "Today
we'll address the situation in Ukraine first and also that of
the Red Sea," Crosetto said as he arrived at an informal meeting
of EU defence ministers in Brussels. "I hope that Europe can
finally adopt a more concrete, less bureaucratic position,
because the times we live in require speed and pragmatism. "We
cannot afford to face problems as we have done up to now".
