Once again, in a letter to Charles
Michel, the President of the European Council, Hungarian Prime
Minister Viktor Orban requested that the start of EU
negotiations on Ukraine and the Commission's proposed review
budget—which includes, among other things, a 50 billion euro aid
package for Kiev—not be discussed at the next summit on December
14-15. Orban stated that "the obvious lack of consensus would
inevitably lead to failure."
