Moldova and Ukraine restore railway line

Link will also facilitate the export of Ukrainian goods to EU

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 23 - After restoration works, Moldova and Ukraine have reopened the railway line between Basarabeasca in Moldova and Berezine in Ukraine, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs' spokesperson, Daniel Voda, announced today on Twitter. From now Moldova "will be able to export and import goods through the Ismail port," the largest Ukrainian port in the Danube Delta, while Ukraine "will be using the railway line to export goods to our country and to EU member states," Voda noted.
