Barcolana: go to regatta from Slovenia, ahead of Autumn Cup

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 23 SET - The roadshow of Barcolana54,
Presented by Generali abroad, closed this morning with the event
in Koper, focused on "Go to Barcolana from Slovenia - I feel
Slovenia," after the stages in Munich, Vienna, and Berlin.
Slovenia continues to play a central role in the event through the sporting feats of numerous helmsmen and skippers who have participated over the years and through the organization of "Go To Barcolana from Slovenia - I Feel Slovenia." The initiative is promoted in cooperation with the Club Nautico Triestino Sirena, the Slovenian Federvela, and the Union of Slovenian Sports Associations in Italy.
The start of the regatta is scheduled for Saturday, October 8, on the eve of the Autumn Cup, from Piran, with arrival in the afternoon in front of Piazza Unità d'Italia in Trieste.
Then the traditional crew reception and award ceremony will take place, an event that also inspired the "Go to Barcolana from Ravenna - Trofeo Hera," an approach regatta from the western Adriatic, from Ravenna to Trieste.
"Go to Barcolana from Slovenia - I Feel Slovenia - said Barcolana director Piero Zecchini - is one of our special events, so beloved that we are pushing to develop regattas with the same format. Therefore, Slovenian sailors have received our invitation to participate in the Go to Barcolana From Slovenia: a fun and safe way to reach Trieste on the eve of Barcolana." Meanwhile, the Barcolana organizational machine is in full swing regarding two other related events: Barcolana Sea Chef by Prosecco DOC, scheduled in Portopiccolo on October 4, and "Barcolana Sea Summit towards the 'States General' of Sustainability of the Upper Adriatic and Central Europe," in collaboration with the FVG Region.
