(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 4 - Germany's manufacturing sector
grew strongly in December, "as it continued to recover from the
shutdowns induced by the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic
earlier in 2020," IHS Markit said in a statement today.
Production in Germany continued to rise, albeit at a slightly reduced rate, while goods producers reported strong optimism.The IHS PMI index reached a 34-month high of 58.3, with Germany leading the manufacturing growth in the Euro-area, the strongest in more than two years in December. (ANSA).
