17 August, 12:40
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 17 - Latvia has donated four helicopters and six howitzers with associated ammunition to Ukraine for their operation, according to Latvian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov. The helicopters sent (MI-17 and MI-2) are long-standing Latvian army models that Ukrainian pilots can easily operate. Latvia has recently supplied personal equipment, vehicles, food rations, ammunition, anti-tank weapons, and anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine, becoming one of the country's largest per capita arms donors.
