(ANSA) - BARI, OCT 21 - "Trade between Italy and the Balkan area is worth 16.2 billion in the first six months of 2022 and is growing strongly." The figure emerged during the conference 'The Adriatic as a geo-economic community for peace and stability between Europe and the Mediterranean,' held in Bari as part of the 85th Fiera del Levante, promoted by Unioncamere, Pax Humana Foundation, Luiss Guido Carli University, in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The Adriatic Community represents a great opportunity to develop a new dimension of exchange, not only economic and cultural, between the Western Balkans and Italy, which confirms itself as a geostrategic connection between Europe and its neighboring countries," said Luiss President Vincenzo Boccia.
