(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 1 - The ceremony for the official
commissioning of the intersystem gas connection Greece-Bulgaria
will be held in Sofia by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev,
according to the news agency Novinite. The interconnector gives
Bulgaria direct access to the Southern Gas Corridor and supplies
of natural gas via the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP), the
Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), and, in the near future,
the liquefied gas terminal near Alexandroupolis, after Gazprom
deliveries were halted in late April. Several foreign leaders
are expected to attend the ceremony, including the president of
the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Romanian Prime
Minister Nicolae Ciuca, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and
North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski. (ANSA).
