Berlin,decision on price cap expected at next Energy Council
'We want to prevent price spikes and protect stock security'

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, OCT 25 - A decision on "a gas price cap
mechanism" is expected "at the next Council of EU energy
ministers." German Economy Minister Robert Habeck reported,
arriving at the meeting in Luxembourg. "The work continues
steadily," Habeck underlined, calling the political
understanding reached by EU leaders last Friday "a real
success."
"We want dynamic price limits; we need to maintain supply
security and prevent speculative swings on the exchanges, not to
increase market susceptibility in tense situations," he pointed
out. (ANSA).
