(ANSA) - BOLZANO, 17 DIC - The reopening of the ski resorts
in Austria, scheduled for 24 December, is in doubt. According to
the president of the Tyrolean ski lift operator Franz Hoerl, the
new anti-Covid protocols and the fact that the mountain refuges
are closed make it almost impossible to resume activity. "Under
these conditions, we cannot recommend an opening," Hoerl told
the Tiroler Tageszeitung. Above all, the risk analysis, which
according to the Austrian government every ski center should
carry out, is provoking discontent, and the planned management
of skiers' flows, according to Hoerl, "is feasible, but not in
such a short time.". Hoerl criticizes the lack of involvement of
operators in the sector in the drafting of the new protocols.
"They do not talk to us - he said - and then they demand
measures that are not feasible by Christmas". "If they want to
close us, they should let us know," Hoerl added, addressing the
Greens. "Public health - is our absolute priority," the Greens
replied. (ANSA).
