The centre-left opposition Democratic
Party (PD) on Wednesday called on European Affairs Minister
Raffaele Fitto to report to parliament on delays in the
implementation of the EU-funded post-COVID National Recovery and
Resilience Plan (NRRP).
Fitto admitted Tuesday that some parts of the NRRP would not be
implemented by the deadline of 2026.
The PD has asked the conference of whips for an urgent briefing
by Fitto on the "reported delays in the NRRP and what changes
have been made," PD Lower House Whip Chiara Braga told
reporters.
"We risk losing important resources. The discussion must be done
in Parliament, in a transparent way," Braga said.
