President Sergio Mattarella and
Premier Giorgia Meloni were among the officials to attend the
Senate's annual Christmas concert on Sunday.
The show was put on by the Arena of Verona's orchestra and choir.
Mattarella received a standing ovation when he entered the Upper House for the concert.
The show started with a rendition of the Italian national anthem and ended with the 'Brindisi', the Drinking Song, from Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata.
