According to first estimates, the attendance is likely "to break the record of 600,000 visitors" at Gusti di Frontiera, the festival dedicated to the world's food and beverage products in Gorizia. The mayor of the Isonzo capital city, Rodolfo Ziberna, made this announcement.
"Despite the alarmist weather forecasts of the first days," added the mayor, "the visitors' attendance envisages a big success, as the festival confirmed and improved last year's figures, breaking the 600,000 record. Thanks to many flavors in the nearly 350 booths from 40 countries but so many languages that can be heard spoken in the crowds thronging the Villages of Taste, in an event that is conquering additional spaces of international interest." Visitors, the promoters explain, have come from all over Europe. The new Taste Park area, designed by the municipality, has been crowded daily, with hundreds of enthusiasts flocking to the tastings and show-cooking events.
"A win-win idea - says the councilor for significant events, Arianna Bellan - thanks to the presence of many local excellences, from slow food centers to the National Organization of Wine Tasters, with several partners such as the EGTC, the Municipalities of Nova Gorica, San Peter and Vertojba, the IAL FVG, and the Wine Tourism Movement.
The new entry of this edition has fully embodied the spirit of a territory ready for the challenges of Go! 2025". The international cuisine seduced the visitors with hundreds of specialties, confirming some highlights from past editions and enhancing Made in Italy's tastes. Some of the most appreciated menus were those available in the Balkan area, but the booths from Austria and Poland were also successful.
