A dozen New Zealand and
Australian rugby players were fined Thursday for playing an
exhibition game in Venice's iconic St Mark's Square recently.
The San Donà Rugby club players allegedly overstepped the
mark of a permit to publicise the game in the storied square,
staging line-outs and scrums as well as taking the permitted
videos and selfies.
They were fined 50 euros a head, and paid up on the spot.
