(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 27 - The health sector is increasingly
important in relations between Italy and the United Arab
Emirates (UAE), the Italian Ambassador to UAE Nicola Lener said
Thursday at the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
"This sector has become ever more of a priority for the Emirates
with the acceleration caused by the pandemic," Lener said on the
fringes of an event entitled 'Artificial intelligence Applied to
medicine: Italian excellence in Telemedicine and Telesurgery"
organized by trade agency ITA (ICE).
"There are big investments in the medicines and pharmaceuticals
and there big opportunities for Italy".
The ambassador said Thursday's event was one of many that
"highlights the great wealth of content of this pavilion and
Italy's participation at Expo 2020.
"This is well appreciated, not just for the pavilion itself, but
also for the quality of the contents that we offer every day,
collaborating with our partners and sponsors.
"It is an initiative filled with content and concrete proposals
of collaboration for the global challenges of the moment".
