(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 06 OTT - A three-year cooperation agreement has been renewed between Friuli Venezia Giulia with PromoTurismoFVG, the Carinthia Regional Tourism Board, and the Tourism Agency of Slovenia to promote the Alpe Adria Trail.

PromoTurismoFVG announced the deal. Alpe Adria Trail, founded in 2012, covers about 750 kilometers in 43 stages, connecting very different areas and landscapes, from the Alps to the Mediterranean. At least 100,000 walkers from all over the world have walked it so far.

The agreement was signed on the route's 10th anniversary, and committed the three organizations to promote the trail by sharing a single marketing plan. Yesterday, to mark the 10th anniversary and the signing of the cooperation agreement, a cross-border ceremony brought together more than 400 people on Mount Forno, the symbol of the three borders. The walkers came from Seltschach in Carinthia, Ratece in Slovenia, and Fusine in Valromana in Friuli Venezia Giulia. (ANSA).
