Russia fear Ukrainian forces could cross Dnipro River: ISW

Possibly threatening critical ground lines of communications

28 November, 10:17
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 28 - According to the ISW Institute, the Russian military thinks that Ukrainian forces could cross the Dnipro River and launch offensive operations in the eastern Kherson Oblast, which could put at risk all critical ground lines of communication (GLOCs) between Crimea and the rest of the country. Since early October 2022, Russian forces have been digging trench lines and concentration areas in eastern Kherson, clearly in preparation for the withdrawal from the west bank of the Dnipro River and Kherson City. Russian troops are getting ready to either defend in depth or do operational or strategic delays. (ANSA).
