Frontex: migrants' irregular entries on the rise
The Western Balkan route remains the most active

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 14 - According to preliminary
calculations by Frontex analysts, 275,500 irregular entries were
detected at the European Union's external borders in the first
ten months of this year, Frontex said today. This represents a
73% increase over the same period last year and is the highest
since 2016. The Western Balkan route into the European Union
remains the busiest, with over 22,300 detections in October,
nearly three times the number a year ago. (ANSA).
