(ANSA) - TRIESTE, MAR 4 - Amid concerns about the epidemiological situation in Europe, Slovenia decided to tighten border controls, the Slovenian news agency Sta reported today.

The EU country decided to reintroduce checkpoints on the border with Austria, Italy and Hungary, starting from Monday.

Crossborder commuters and students will have to get tested every seven days. Moreover, "all those who do not produce proof of vaccination, proof they have already had Covid-19, or a negative test will be required to quarantine and may end the quarantine after five days with a negative test; presently, they are allowed to test the next day to end their quarantine," STA informed.
