Estonia: ban on entry to Russian tourists comes into effect

Visas issued by Tallinn will no longer be valid

(ANSA) - VILNIUS, 18 AGO - Russian citizens will no longer be allowed to enter Estonian territory through border crossings with the Russian Federation, even if they hold regular tourist visas. The Foreign Ministry announced this decision in Tallinn.

The measure, issued a week ago, comes into effect today and includes a limited number of exceptions.

Estonia is at the forefront of extending the entry ban for Russian citizens to the entire EU territory. (ANSA).
