18 October, 19:04 (ANSA) - PORDENONE, OCT 18 - A selection of titles from the
major retrospectives of the 41st edition of the Days of Silent
Cinema, which recently took place in Pordenone, will be
presented at the Fondation Je'rôme Seydoux-Pathe' in Paris from
October 19 to November 1.
The program, curated together with Venice Days director Jay Weissberg pays tribute to Norma Talmadge, a renowned movie star in Hollywood between the 1910s and 1920s. Among the highlights is Lāčplēsis (The Killer of Bears) by Aleksandrs Rusteiķis (1930), which features the epic of Latvia's independence between history and legend. (ANSA).
