Regions: Fedriga in Brussels, for a stronger Fvg in the EU

President will speak with Carinthia's governor of youth mobility

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 11 OTT - The presentation of FVG's New Europe portal and the project in collaboration with CLENAD (Comité de Liaison des Experts Nationaux Détachés) to strengthen the role of Experts Nationaux Détachés at Union institutions and a joint speech with the governor of Carinthia focusing on cross-border youth cooperation between the two regions. These are the primary events on the agenda for Friuli Venezia Giulia Governor Massimiliano Fedriga's mission to Brussels scheduled for Wednesday, October 12, and Thursday, October 13.

In detail - reads a statement issued by the region - on Wednesday at 6 p.m., in the Region's Liaison Office, Fedriga will hold a press conference focusing on "FVG strengthens its presence in Europe: skills to be enhanced for the growth of our territories." Immediately afterward, at 7 p.m., the governor, in the presence of top Italian diplomatic representatives in Brussels, will meet with senior officials from Friuli Venezia Giulia working in EU institutions and representatives of associations of co-regional residents in the Belgian capital.

On Thursday, as part of initiatives related to the European Year of Young People, Fedriga will participate in the workshop "Youth Mobility Beyond Regional Borders: How to Overcome Obstacles." According to the schedule, representatives from the Aosta Valley, the German Land of Saarland, the Polish Voivodeship of Pomerania, Northern Ireland, and Carinthia will also participate in the event. Along with Carinthian governor Peter Kaiser, Fedriga will describe an FVG-Carinthia project (SCET-NET and EGTC Euregio without borders) for cross-border youth cooperation. (ANSA).
