(ANSA) - TRIESTE, SEP 28 - An event open to trekking enthusiasts will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Alpe Adria Trail, a cross-border trail between Italy, Slovenia, and Austria that in recent years has brought more than 100,000 walkers from around the world to learn about the landscape and culture across Friuli Venezia Giulia, Carinthia, and Slovenia.

The event will see trekkers depart in the morning from three different locations, Seltschach in Carinthia, Ratece in Slovenia, and Fusine in Valromana in Friuli Venezia Giulia, and then gather at the summit of Mount Forno (1508 m) to celebrate the anniversary together at a place symbolizing the union between Italy, Austria, and Slovenia.

At the summit, they will be able to taste the local culinary traditions of the neighboring countries thanks to the participation of three chefs, one from each state. (ANSA).
