Slovenia: NPP Krsko reconnected to the grid
After a month of scheduled maintenance
08 November, 11:47 (ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 8 - Slovenia's only nuclear power
reactor Krsko was reconnected to the grid Monday evening after a
month of scheduled maintenance, according to Slovenian news
agency STA. During the planned maintenance, 56 of the reactor's
121 fuel elements were replaced with new ones, as well as 14
technological upgrades. Slovenia has been relying on hydro power
and imported electricity during the Krsko repairs, as the power
plant in Sostanj has been disconnected from the grid due to a
lack of coal, according to STA. (ANSA).
