(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 22 - The head of the International
Energy Agency (IEA), Fatih Birol, issued a warning to European
governments, asking them to be prepared for a total shutdown of
Russian gas shipments this winter, the Financial Times reported
today.
"Europe should be ready in case Russian gas is completely cut off," Birol said. "The nearer we are coming to winter, the more we understand Russia's intentions," he added. (ANSA).
