In Slovenia an exhibition celebrates national rivers

In a country-wide tour

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 17 - An exhibition honoring 19 Slovenian rivers and 29 river guardians through the lenses of 19 acclaimed photographers will open in Kanal pri Soci on Thursday, according to the Slovenian news agency STA. The exhibition, which is part of an environmental project aimed at persistent pollution, will then tour Slovenia, accompanied by debates, workshops for activists and children, and art events.

The photographers who contributed their work include Arne Hodalič, Borut Peterlin, Barbara Čeferin, Katja Bidovec, Matej Pušnik, Borut Krajnc, Meta Krese, Uroš Abram, Peter Gedei, Katja Jemec, Nika H. Praper, Vedran Tomšič, Stojan Spetič, Matic Zorman, Tereza Kozinc, Ajda Zupan, Boštjan Selinšek, Manca Juvan and Matjaža Krivic.

The exhibition, which will be touring Slovenia until 2024, is part of the Varuhinje rek (The Guardians of Rivers) project, led by Alja Bulič from the creative collective Hupa Brajdič and journalist Erik Valenčič, STA said. (ANSA).
