(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 19 - Slovenians will vote on Sunday to choose mayors and councils for the next four years in the country's 212 municipalities, according to the Slovenian news agency STA. In Slovenia's eighth local elections since the first in 1994, 618 candidates are running for mayor and 18,671 for 3,300-plus seats on municipal councils. Several major cities, including Ljubljana, may retain their incumbents, some of whom are expected to win in the first round. (ANSA).
