(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 4 - "In 2019, the share of Italians aged
14-74 with a basic or higher level of digital skills was 42%, 14
points lower compared to the European average (56%) and very far
from the Netherlands (79%), Finland (76%) and Sweden (72%)." The
54th Censis report revealed, explaining that "after Italy, in
penultimate and last position, come Romania (31%) and Bulgaria
(29%)."
"It's easier to find digital illiterates in the older age
groups (14% between 65-74 years old and 30% between 55-
64-year-olds), less among the new generations (65% of
16-24-year-olds have appropriate digital skills) - the statement
reads -. Only 18% of those who have a low level of education are
digitally competent." (ANSA).
