Poland together with the Czech Rep., for new rules on energy

The announcement by Morawiecki and Fiala at the Karpacz Forum

(ANSA) - KARPACZ, 07 SET - Poland and the Czech Republic work together to change the rules of the energy sector, thus responding to soaring prices and changes in energy policy since Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced this strategy during a discussion with his counterpart from the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, at the 31st Karpacz Economic Forum.

"Our common vision means that together we exert more effective influence, including on our partners in the European Commission - said Morawiecki -; a certain vision of energy policy has been destroyed: on its rubble, we are building a new one. Today our voice in Brussels is also being heard thanks to the power of Premier Fiala." "We have a carefree period behind us - Fiala underlined - but now we have economic problems, and we must make decisions. We must eliminate our dependence on Russia and its blackmail against us using energy as a weapon. We must adapt our energy policy to implement it as soon as possible." (ANSA).
