Poland PM, EU should be more generous with aid to Ukraine

Morawiecki, 'it should give Kyiv not only grants but also loans'

(ANSA) - KARPACZ, 07 SET - Poland's premier, Mateusz Morawiecki, called on European Union countries to be "more generous" toward Ukraine to prevent it from going bankrupt, as Moscow would like. "I call for sending aid funds - he said - not only grants but also loans.

The EU is not very generous, even though there, in the East, people are dying for the security and freedom of the West. It is not the first time such a thing has happened. We know this from our history," added the Polish premier, who launched a "strong appeal" for Europe to "implement the commitments made at the June European Council." (ANSA).
