(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 18 NOV - The future of investigative journalism, media responsibility in times of crisis, and wartime journalism combined with safety, ethics, and the need for reporting are some of the issues raised at the 2022 edition of the South East Europe Media Forum. The meeting took place this year in Sarajevo, November 16-17, and ANSA participated, addressing aspects and issues of reporters' work in the war in Ukraine.

Among the partners is the Central European Initiative (CEI), whose executive secretariat is based in Trieste.

The forum was organized by South East Europe Media Organization (SEEMO), in cooperation with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Media Program and European Broadcasting Union, with 300 participants from different fields: news organizations, civil society, government institutions, international organizations, and academia.

The focus was journalism in times of crisis, with insights on ethical standards and reporter safety, quality journalism and media accountability, investigative journalism, and international collaborations. One of the panels was dedicated to war journalism, concerning the war in Ukraine but also with a look at the war in Bosnia 30 years ago and a dialogue between reporters. (ANSA).
