Germany strikes deal with Hungary, Poland on stimulus plan

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 9 - Germany stroke a deal with Poland and Hungary that may unblock the European Union's budget and pandemic stimulus plan, the Bloomberg agency reported today.

"Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Gowin said an agreement had been clinched with Germany, which holds the EU's rotating presidency, that would now be presented to the rest of the bloc," Bloomberg reported. A deal could be finalized by Friday, Gowin said. (ANSA).
