(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 11 - Greeks headed to beaches and
parks on Sunday, despite the measures to contain the pandemic,
after the country experienced a rare January heatwave, local
media reported on Monday.
In Athens temperatures reached 23 Celsius, and "people lounged on the sand, swam in the sea, and strolled on the promenade on the Athens coast, while police patrolled to control the crowds," the Greek daily Kathimerini reported. Greece has been in partial lockdown since early November. (ANSA).
