(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 14 NOV - Industrial production in
September grew 0.9 percent in both the eurozone and the EU with
a slowdown therefore from August when growth had been 2 percent
in the eurozone and 1.5 percent in the EU. Compared to September
2021, growth in September 2022 was 4.9 percent for the euro
countries and 5.7 percent for the EU. This was announced by the
EU's statistics office, Eurostat. Italy recorded a 0.5 percent
decline, following 2.9 percent growth in August. Among member
states for which data are available, the highest monthly
increases were recorded in Ireland (+11.9 percent), Belgium
(+7.1 percent) and Hungary and the Netherlands (both +1.6
percent). Largest declines were in Lithuania (-8.2%), Greece
(-4.5%) and Estonia (-3.6%). (ANSA).
