Croatian poetry and poets of the 20th century. This is the theme of a four-meeting cycle, "Modern and Contemporary Croatian Poets - Readings and Reflections," to be held in Trieste from March 21 to April 29, organized by the Croatian Community of Trieste - Hrvatska Zajednica u Trstu - in cooperation with the Municipality of Trieste, Libreria Lovat, Caffè San Marco.

The cycle will be opened by a lecture on March 21 with Prof.

Machiedo himself, an academic and Italianist, will guide people throughout the review into the world of Croatian poetry from the early 1900s to the present day. Also speaking at the review will be poet and essayist Carlo Selan; Valter Milovan, professor of Italianistics at the University of Pula and translator; and Vanessa Begić, journalist and translator.
