Croatia approved the Exclusive economic zone in the Adriatic
Decision made in agreement with Italy

(ANSA) - ZAGREB, 18 DIC - Croatian parliament approved today
the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the Croatian part of the
Adriatic Sea's international waters, which will come into force
in January, along with Italy's EEZ. The parliament approved the
decision with 129 votes in favor and one abstention.
"Through the proclamation of the EEZ, we will raise the protection framework of the Adriatic Sea to the maximum," explained Foreign Minister Goran Grlic Radman, recalling that in recent weeks, after intense consultations with the Italian side, the conditions have been created to prepare the legislation for the exclusive zone.
