Bosnia: Council of Europe to send election observers

(ANSA) - STRASBOURG, 27 SET - The Parliamentary Assembly and Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe will monitor the legislative and cantonal elections scheduled in Bosnia on October 2.

The assembly delegation will consist of 21 MPs and will work together with observers from the European Parliament, the OECD Parliamentary Assembly, and Nato, as well as with the ODHIR.

In addition, the delegation will meet with candidates and representatives of political parties, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, and representatives of civil society and the media.

The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities will send a 14-member delegation to monitor the elections of the ten cantonal assemblies of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the vote in the Brcko district. (ANSA).
