Slovenia: President Pahor awards Order to Fedriga
For merits in deepening the relations, support to the minority
15 November, 15:41 (ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 15 - The President of the Italian
region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga, received
the Slovenian Golden Order for Merits today, the Slovenian
President Borut Pahor announced on Twitter. Fedriga was awarded
"for his contribution to the deepening of Slovenian-Italian
cooperation and for his support of the Slovenian minority in
Italy with the return of the National House in Trieste and the
ceremonies in Bazovica and in Gorica/Nova Gorica," Pahor wrote.
Pahor also awarded the Order to the President of the Austrian region of Carinthia, Peter Kaiser, for his role in deepening cooperation between Slovenia and Austria and in promoting the rights of the Slovene minority in the Austrian Carinthia.
