(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 16 - Tiger Woods will have some rule in
the US team to play Europe in the Ryder Cup at Rome this autumn,
captain Zach Jonson told ANSA in an interview Thursday.
"The Ryder Cup is extremely important for Tiger Woods," said
Johnson.
"He has always supported Team USA in every way, all the way.
"I still don't know what his specific involvement will be for
the clash with Europe in Rome this year, but he will certainly
be part of our team.
"From far or close in, his intuitions, his experience, and
wisdom represent an inestimable value."
Johnson went on to say: "Winning overseas won't be easy. But the
fact that we have not done so for 30 years is a great motivation
and opportunity. Before the Ryder I will bring all the American
team to the Marco Simone (Golf Club) for common training. It
will be a chance to try out the gold course, which is of the
highest level". (ANSA).
