(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 24 - After a barren spell, Italy's 20198
Open winner Francesco Molinari has returned to golf's top 200,
rising from 249th to 181 st after finishing sixth in the
American Express tourney in California.
Molinari, Italy's only major winner, has had a poor spell partly
due to a back injury that forced him out of the Olympics.
Spain's Jon Rahm still heads the rankings ahead of America's
Collin Morikawa, America's Patrick Cantley and America's Dustin
Johnson, long no 1 in recent years.
Italy's second ranked player Guido Migliozzi, who tied for
fourth in last year's US OPen, is 92nd in the standings. (ANSA).
