(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 3 - The possibility for a divorced and
remarried couple to take communion without abstaining from
sexual relations is "authentic magisterium", said Pope Francis
Tuesday, seven and a half years after the publication of 'Amoris
Laetitia', in response to questions put by the Archbishop
Emeritus of Prague, Card. Dominik Duka, on 13 July on behalf of
the Czech Bishops' Conference.
The apostolic exhortation opens up the possibility of access to
the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist when, in a
particular case, "there are limitations that mitigate
responsibility and guilt", one of the answers says.
Francis was restating Catholic dogma on the issue. (ANSA).
