Pope Francis remained seated at an
audience in the Vatican for a delegation from the Holy Land
Monday saying he had a pain in his leg.
"Sorry if I remain seated but my leg hurts" said the pontiff
receiving a delegation from the Custody of the Holy Land on the
100th anniversary of their magazine The Holy Land.
The pope remained sitting as he read his message to them.
The Custody of the Holy Land (Latin: Custodia Terræ Sanctæ) is a
custodian priory of the Order of Friars Minor in Jerusalem,
founded as the Province of the Holy Land in 1217 by Saint
Francis of Assisi, who had also founded the Franciscan Order in
1209.
