(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 27 - Nothing beats the Ryder Cup week,
Rory McIlroy told a press conference ahead of this weekend's
first edition of the epic Europe-USA clash in Italy Wednesday.
"I've changed my mind on the Ryder Cup over the years," said the
four-time major champ and world no 2.
"In 2009 I was focused only on myself, I wanted to achieve
individual goals. Now I love being part of Team Europe,
obviously I still have a great time playing individual
tournaments, but nothing beats this week."
The first Italian edition of the Ryder Cup, and the 44th in all,
takes place from September 30 to October 1 at the Marco Simone
Golf & Country Club just outside Rome. (ANSA).
