(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 27 - The first case of seasonal 'flu in
Italy has been identified in a baby boy in Parma, the University
of Parma said on Wednesday.
The influenza type A virus was identified in a four-month-old
boy receiving treatment at the university hospital's pediatric
clinic on Tuesday.
He was reportedly suffering from fever, lack of appetite and
asthmatic bronchitis, but his overall condition was said to be
fair and he was said to be responding well to oral antiviral
treatment. (ANSA).
