(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 5 - Italian tax revenues rose by over four
billion euros in the four months between January and April this
year, the economy ministry said Monday.
The ministry reported that in the period January-April 2023, tax
revenues assessed on an accrual basis amounted to 150.907
billion (+4.809 billion) +3.3% compared to the same period in
2022.
Specifically, in January-April, direct taxes recorded an
increase in revenue of EUR 2.462 billion (+3.1%), while indirect
taxes increased by EUR 2.347 billion (+3.5%).
In April 2023 alone, tax revenues amounted to EUR 37.738 billion
(+3.379 billion, +9.8% compared to the same month in 2022).
