Giuseppe CERBONE

Giuseppe Cerbone was born in Naples, April 13, 1958. 

After graduating  with honors in Computer Science specializing in the U.S. at the School of Business at Harvard, he also obtained his PhD in Computer Science at Oregon State University, where he taught Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence for four years. With experience in telecommunications and services in the service industry, is currently Chief Executive Officer and Director General of the Agency ANSA - National Agency Associated Press - Co-operative Society, the leading Italian news agency journalist, with 20 offices in Italy and 88 to 'abroad. In the U.S., between 1985 and 1992, collaborating with the NASA Ames Research Center and at NeXTComputer, a company founded by Steve Jobs. Back in Italy, after working in Research and Development Group of IRI-Stet (1992-1994), was Director Generaland CEO of ANSA (1998-2002) and the Il Sole 24 Ore (1995-1998, 2003-2005). Since 2008 is, again, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of ANSA, today for the third consecutive term. Years engaged in research and dissemination of technological know-how related to the knowledge economy, with the results of which these pages represent a significant essay, he was Vice President of the Italian Institute of Technology (2006-2007) and Adviser to the President of the ForumTelecommunications (2000-2002). He is currently President of PuntoIT, the non-profit association for the spread of the Internet in Italy and Europe through companies and institutions, and Vice President of the Italy-United Arab Emirates.
