XXII World Hand Gliding Championship Flights, in Fvg's sky

Among 130 pilots also a woman, japanese

14 July, 19:52
(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 14 LUG - All the pilots tried today the traps of Friuli Venezia Giulia's skies, during the training task just before the official start of tomorrow. The pilots, coming from 29 different countries, will fight for the medals from tomorrow to Friday 26th of July, with the closing ceremony scheduled for Saturday 27th.

They had the possibility to test their status and expecially to refine the team communication, taking off from Monte Valinis near Meduno (PN), known by a lot of them and place of the take off during Spring Meeting, won this year in the class 1 by Italians Ciech (first) and Ploner (second). Third, we remember, the German Neuenschwander.

A lot of people and kids were present to the landing place located in Bordano (UD) near Gemona del Friuli and they could admire the woderful colours of hang glidings.

Tomorrow the first task is scheduled: the place and time of the take off, will be published on FB official page every morning after the team leader briefing, who will take place daily in Tolmezzo, HQ.

Japan presents the only women at the start of competition: we're talking about Yoko Sano, who also took part last year in Friuli Venezia Giulia at the Pre World Championship and at the moment 107 in FAI's ranking.

Italian team, which won for five times the team World Champion, must be really careful to Czech Republic, Great Britain, Austria and Australia (that may be a little bit underdog because not used to fly in these skies). Attention also to Slovenian team, who instead is really used to fly in the north east of Italy and so may be the surprise of the event.

At the website "fly master" you can follow the innovative live tracking of the event and at the official FB page, the live.

We finally remember that the official website is www.italy2019.com and the official FB page @hangglidingworldchamp2019. (ANSA).
