Slovenia:Bled, new generation MBA graduates from 12 states

Škrabec and Illy honorary professors of 'management practic

(ANSA) - BLED (SLOVENIA), DEC 15 - Over 200 entrepreneurs, opinion leaders, family members and friends of graduates gathered in Bled, Slovenia to attend the ceremony to award the MBA degrees of the IEDC-Bled School of Management, the diploma of scientific doctorate, the title of "professor of the year" and of "professor of management practices" honoris causa.

About 44 managers from twelve countries received master's degrees in MBA management. Graduates will join the IEDC alumni network, which already has 5,265 members from 75 countries and 15 alumni clubs worldwide. The title of ''doctor of research'' in management sciences, is conferred this year to dr. Emir Džanić.

Danica Purg, Head of the IEDC - Bled School of Management, conferred the honorary title of "Professor of management practices" to two prominent entrepreneurs: Riccardo Illy, president of the Illy Group and Janez Škrabec, president of the Riko Group for their contribution and support in the field of research, development, professional excellence, intellectual depth, transmitting "students a better understanding of management practices", as well as recognition of their personal integrity and their solid moral values in line with the values of 'IEDC.

As usual, the IEDC-Bled School of Management appointed the professor of the year, chosen among the participants of the Executive MBA Master: James C. Ellert, professor of finance at the IEDC and professor emeritus at the IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. Director of the International MBA program in Management at the IEDC-Bled School of Management, Ellert has carried out important studies on financial restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, planning and implementation of financial strategies, published in numerous international media, including Fortune Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Handelsblatt, Business International, Le Monde, Expansion, New China Post. The musical programme of the ceremony has been curated by Mrs. Olohimai Ruth Omo-Ezomo, MBA graduate from Nigeria. Graduates and academics wore clothes specifically designed by Alan Hranitelj for the IEDC.(ANSA).
