Montenegro: government announce tenders for ski resorts

For cable car and tracks, to improve development of the north

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 13 DIC - The government of Montenegro has announced today the launch of tenders for the construction of a 6-seater cable car and about 18.5 kilometres of new ski lines at the 'Kolasin 1600' and 'Zarski' ski resorts, in the municipality of Mojkovac, in the north of the country.

The total value of the procurement is 18 million euros, nine million euros per ski resort, the government informed in a statement.

The subject of the procurement is the development of solutions and construction of chair lifts and of about 9,5 km of new ski tracks in Zarski and about 9 km in Kolasin 1600; the design, procurement and construction of substations at both locations and design of conceptual solutions for the artificial snowmaking. The projects aim at "encourage and accelerate the development of the North and ensure the making of best use of the potential and resources of this part of the country," the government noted.
